What I'm looking for is a basic celtic knot pattern. Not so hard, right?
Well, I need it done in a gridwork manner, like in graph paper, specifically, so I can try to do it with chainmail, and I'm coming up empty. Anyone else have any luck? *grin*
Also, no hurry. I doubt I need yet another project to start immediately. ;)

And meme: If there are one or more people on your friends list who make your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want -- good or bad. When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

... Diane W Jones has a new book out, this month (I think), called House of Ways. It is, sort of, a sequel to Howl's Moving castle. *cackle*
And attached to that at Amazon?
Chalice, by Robin McKinley.
Her blog has the flap copy summary, back in March.
It involves magic, and bees with honey and flesh-destroying fire - I can't wait! ;)

... long time, no hear, I know. But I am still alive!
Orignal plan, about 2 months ago, was to have left for CT yesterday, filled up a trailer today, Nero'd Sat & Sunday, and drove back Monday. Alas, I have no money for the gas, the ticket, or even the 700 trailer. So.
I slept in yesterday, and then went to the library, followed by making an appointment with the VA service office.
Today, I am actually going to start the paperwork with them, making it only about 3 years late. And to add insult to injury on my procrastination, I may be getting my disability back. Only 100$ a month, but that would have come to about 3k, give or take 6 months. Damnit.
Also gonna finish faxing off paperwork for dental/health insurance (woot!)
Also, today? Been up already for an hour, due to going to bed wicked early last night.
Also, last night? Indy IV. Which /rocked/. I liked Indy, a lot. And Shia.
Hm.. other news. Getting a lot of reading done - every sunday, I go to the library. Yay, having a *real* library. My favorite is always going to be the tiny one in Ben Lomond, but for being tiny? It had actual sections, and a kickass selection. But this one? I huge, and I adore it.
Tomorrow, we're off to the one day of Faire we are going to manage this year, it looks like. Gonna go mundane, I think. Not too big of a disappointment, given how hot it is already, but still.
Hrm... nothing else really springs to mind...
See ya all on the flip side!

... did the anneversary thing yesterday, which involved.....
..... a lovely meal at the Rainforest Cafe.
....... a very lovely visit to the zoo, where were there painted dogs, and elephants, and dozens of hornbill birds, and loorakeets, and snakes, and really really big birds, and dozens of other things, though also a good deal of 'please excuse our mess as we are still /building/ over half the zoo'.
.... and a visit to see Iron Man with the housemate and kids.
Damn shame we forgot to stay through the credits though.
Also, darnit... why do I have to be up this early?

... we now have new OS. Everything reinstalled, currently doing some update work.
Taking it easy on the rp-side of things, not that that was hopping /anyway/... kinda considering just giving up on the whole thing anyway. Everyone seems to be all fired up for M&M, and... just not my thing.
And while I do have the new Changeling book, it's gonna take me a while to get through it, so.. no help on that side.
Arctures is still on the laptop, but it's a slow, old beast, so ... yah.
Anyway, nothing much else new.
